Mermaid Experiences
Fins and Tails Mermaid Academy offer a magical experience, your child can choose a tail and transform into a mysterious mermaid or sneaky shark and swim under the sea
During this session, they will learn how to become a mermaid as they kick, twist and glide around the shallows of the swimming pool, learn the safety skills of swimming in a tail and of course playing mermaid games as they dive deep for the treasure they seek. Experiences are run with a maximum of 8 Mermaids, are taken by our fully trained and qualified Level 2 Mermaid and Mono Fin Instructor and all equipment is provided for the sessions.
In order to enjoy the experience fully, we ask that participants are aged 6 and over, and are able to do the following:

Be able to swim 25 meters comfortably

Be able to submerge your face fully whilst swimming

Be able to tread water in both shallow and deep water

Be able to lift your knees and turn 360 degrees in both directions

Be able to demonstrate a basic dolphin kick for 5 meters
If your child is unable to meet the criteria, a parent/guardian may accompany the child into the water but this decision will be at the discretion of the teacher.

Children will choose a tail and transform themselves into a mysterious mermaid or sneaky shark. Gracefully performing twists and turns while gliding around the shallows of our swimming pool, they will play Games & dive deep for the treasure that they seek.
